Liz Emtage Ceramics provides translucent porcelain lighting for home and business interiors. Each item is handbuilt in unrestrained natural forms that fully exploit the malleable potential and versatility of clay.
Naturally ivory in colour the shades can be stained into a range of striking hues. They can also be inlaid with a variety of textures and patterns – anything from grasses or seeds to designs from Indian woodblocks.
When lit each shade comes alive with warm, textured colour. Unlit they are sculptural pieces, rich in subtle detail.
Currently the range consists of table and floor lamps, pendant shades, standard lamps, wall lights and night lights.
We can undertake commissions and develop site specific pieces. These could involve a favourite pattern or texture, or even a leaf or flower from your garden.
We also work extensively with architects, interior designers and visual merchandising managers for high end shops, hotels and restaurants.
